OUR HISTORY

We’ve known each other forever, but life took us down different paths for years. Samara, an economist and real estate enthusiast, lives in Milan; Simona, an engineer and property manager, has returned to her beloved Sulmona.
When we reunited, we realized that our expertise and our friendship could give rise to something special.
That’s how ALMATROS was born: a project that combines vision, attention to detail, and a love for the region. Every detail is carefully crafted to offer you an authentic, relaxed stay that’s deeply connected to the soul of the region.

Origins

The name ALMATROS is derived from the initials of the founding family—ALessandro, MAThilde, ROberto, and Samara—and, in its very sound, embodies a story of affection, bonds, and a shared vision.
It deliberately evokes the albatross, a symbol of freedom, elegance, and discovery: a world traveler capable of crossing distant horizons without ever losing its way. A family identity with an international scope that translates into authentic, refined, and deeply human hospitality.
